Baby Jada

Welcome to the world Baby Jada!

At 5 weeks old, Baby Jada put me in my place.

In the 4 hours Jada and her Mommy were at my house, she only slept for a few minutes.  Which allowed us to get these few shots of her.  As soon as we tried to do a prop change, she was wide awake and telling us she had no intentions of doing a photo shoot.  Since she is the boss, we obliged! :)  Maybe we'll have better luck next time.

I've known Jada's Mommy since she was a little girl.  I even babysat for her a few times.  I used to ride Jada's Grandpa and Great Grandpa's school buses, and throughout high school I worked at the Grocery store her Great Aunt owns.  I also used to hang out with some of her 2nd cousins.   Our family's history goes all the way back to when I was in Kindergarten.  That's a looonnggg..... time ago!   So when I heard Jada needed her pictures taken, I was more than happy to do so.

Love the little toes.......

 and the little nose......

and the little fingers!

Hopefully Mommy got a good nights sleep that night!

The Bair's ~ A sentimental shoot

On April 10th, my friend Teresa and her family found out that their sweet dog Missy who has been a part of their family for 10 years has a sudden onset of an uncureable disease.  The next 5 days would be crucial and there was a strong possibility that Missy may not make it until her appointment on the 16th.  They had planned to do family pics over the summer with Missy and their other Bichon Frise Mandi that they adopted about 1 1/2 years ago.  Unfortunately due to Missy's situation, the family pics became an urgent need.

Thankfully the medication seems to be helping and hopefully when they get the next set of lab results on Tuesday, they will find out that the medication is doing what it needs to so that she does not deteriorate as quickly and they will be able to enjoy a few more months of treasured moments with her.

Chelsea & Cody's Engagement

I had alot of fun taking my niece Chelsea and her fiancĂ© Cody's engagement pictures.  They were wanting pictures to use for their "save the dates".

Chelsea is a natural in front of the camera, I guess I trained her well!

Cody did very well also, he was a trooper and cooperated much better than most men!

Cody was even the mastermind behind one of their top 4 favorites.

Unfortunately, you will not see the top 4 on here, those are being saved for the official notice. :)

A new adventure ~ the beginning of a blog.

I have finally decided to start a blog for my photography.  We'll see how this goes.  I am still a little unsure about it and totally unfamiliar with how it works.
